Our club members participated in the 36th Annual Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 26, 2020 in San Diego County. The global cleanup effort encouraged participants to make a local difference by removing litter and debris throughout the day. Our club chose to help clean up the shores along Imperial Beach. Members know that the impact on the health of our waterways and oceans – protecting the coast—starts at your front door!

In addition, club members participated in a Greenbuild Legacy Project with other local Rotary clubs that took place at Olivewood Gardens in National City. The cleanup and enhancement aligned with the mission of the new District Environmental Sustainability committee. Olivewood Garden and Learning Center’s historic 7.85-acre property serves responds to the need for healthy food education, production, and accessibility. It also speaks to the social equity pillar of sustainability. Learn more about the gardens here: https://www.olivewoodgardens.org/

Thank you to our members who helped out on environmental projects!
